Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountain are close by, offering you as a pedagogue a unique opportunity to participate in shaping the preschool of the future. The preschool opened in January 2025, and we are now looking for you who want to join a wonderful group of colleagues and build a long-term career at the preschool. At the preschool, we meet our children in their first education and their first steps in lifelong learning, and as a preschool teacher, you are important.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are part of a work team and are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the education offered to the children. You collaborate with the work team, and together you offer the children fun and educational activities. As a preschool teacher, you have a special responsibility to lead goal-oriented processes and ensure that the education:

• integrates care, development, and learning into a whole,
• plans and implements activities based on the curriculum and the knowledge and experiences the children have previously acquired,
• incorporates spontaneously arising activities and interests, as well as daily activities and routines at the preschool, into the education,
• develops pedagogical content and environments that inspire development and learning, challenge and stimulate children's interest and curiosity, and maintain their attention.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher.

It is important that:

• you are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lpfö18),
• you are a secure and clear leader, take initiative, are positive, and have faith in children's various competencies,
• you have knowledge of and use various learning tools,
• you have trusting relationships with children and guardians, and you have good collaboration skills,
• you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,
• you use visual support and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication),
• you develop and drive the preschool forward according to the curriculum.

Very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a prerequisite for the position. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities and personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
