We are now looking for a teacher for Korta Vägen in Luleå. Do you enjoy working with adult students, guiding them through academic writing, and giving them confidence in using Swedish at a high level? Then this might be just the right fit for you.

As a teacher in academic Swedish, you will become an important part of our education programs where adult students are equipped for further studies, working life, and a richer life through knowledge. You will primarily teach academic language use, academic writing, and study techniques, helping participants find their flow in everything from reports to theses.

What you will do

• Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in academic Swedish for adult students.
• Support participants in academic writing, reference management, and linguistic structure.
• Adapt teaching to the participants' level, needs, and study goals.
• Work primarily with classroom teaching, but also remote teaching for participants in other locations.
• Collaborate with colleagues regarding course design, pedagogical development, and joint projects.
• Participate in ongoing follow-up, documentation, and quality work within the education program.

Qualifications

We believe that you enjoy teaching adults, are confident in the Swedish language, and have experience with academic writing. You do not need to be perfect, but you need to be curious, unpretentious, and ready to develop together with us and our participants.

• A university degree with a focus on pedagogy (at least 60 credits under the old system or 90 credits under the current system) or alternatively a focus on Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language (at least 60 credits or 90 credits under the current system).
• And at least one (1) year of documented professional experience equivalent to at least 50% of a full-time position in teaching Swedish at a level corresponding to Swedish 2 or Swedish as a Second Language 2, or teaching Swedish corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. The experience must not be older than five years.

Experience with labor market assignments will be seen as advantageous in the selection process.
