About Ängskolan

Ängskolan is located on Hertsön, Luleå's largest residential area with approximately 6,000 inhabitants. Hertsön is known for its rich leisure and club life and its proximity to nature. Here you will find a library, a modern sports facility, and a nature reserve within walking distance. Ängskolan has 190 students in grades F–6.

Our operations form a whole where our goal is for both children and adults to feel welcome. We believe that learning happens through interaction, which is why we want the climate at the school to be characterized by openness, so that everyone dares and wants to participate. We are proud of our after-school care departments, which offer a joyful activity where the content is adapted to the children's ages. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified teacher in Mathematics, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Natural Sciences, and Technology.

Therefore, you are important. By involving students in the teaching, we want you to create and spark interest, which you then nurture to make the teaching inspiring.

You base your teaching on scientific grounds, have a formative approach, analyze teaching strategies, and develop and adapt teaching based on student learning, group needs, and towards increased goal fulfillment. In your meetings with students, you continuously develop yourself and your role as a teacher. In your classroom, all students have the opportunity to succeed and show their knowledge in many different ways.

We do this by sharing experiences, highlighting good examples, putting words to what we do, and thereby gaining a common language, way of thinking, and theoretical basis. We work with a two-teacher system in the classes at Ängskolan.

Qualifications

You who apply for the position have teacher certification to teach Math, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Natural Sciences, and Technology. You should have long experience and solid knowledge of working in a classroom, but also preferably experience as a lead teacher or similar within mathematics. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a good ability to individualize and vary teaching to create a desire for learning.

Personal qualities:

• A very strong commitment to your profession and the desire to share your competence with students and colleagues.
• Very familiar with creating inclusive and accessible learning environments.
• A very good ability to translate the curriculum and other governing documents into practice.
• A very good ability to take own initiatives to develop operations so that it benefits students' knowledge development and thereby actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work.
• Very good at building relationships and understanding the importance of creating good relationships.

Start date: September 2026 or as agreed.
