University college education (Yrkeshögskola) is a post-secondary educational form that combines theory and practice to meet the needs of the labor market. The courses are developed in collaboration with industries and give students specialized competence for specific professional roles. With a strong connection to the business community, the university college ensures that students are ready for working life immediately after graduation.
Your Responsibilities
Ahead of the autumn semester, we are looking for an educator for courses included in the training for aspiring relining technicians. The assignment includes preparatory work (preparation of course materials, tasks, and exams), teaching, and post-work (grading and assessment). This involves 12 hours of teaching per week. There is an opportunity to teach all courses, but it may also be relevant for you if you wish to teach individual courses. We are looking for educators for the following courses during the following periods:
- Methods for Relining – Weeks 42–47, 2026
- Basic Inspection Technology – Weeks 3–4, 2027
- Relining Technology – Weeks 48–2, 2027
- Flushing and Cleaning Technology – Weeks 5–6, 2027
Teaching takes place remotely, although physical meetings may occur on a few occasions during the course at one of the educational locations: Boden, Umeå, or Gävle.
Your Profile
Your Profile
To be considered, you must have a clear connection to the professional role that the education targets and possess good pedagogical skills. For example, you might have good experience from the role of a relining technician or have other equivalent practical experience from the industry combined with strong pedagogical skills. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experience. To succeed in the assignment, you need to possess good social and communicative skills. It is a great advantage if you have previously taught in adult education or have other pedagogical experience, but this is not a requirement. In an educational assignment through us at the university college, you are employed as a consultant by us and hired out to the school. There is also an opportunity for you to have your own business to invoice as a sub-consultant.
