With us, you have the chance to be more than just a youth leader; you become an inspirer, guide, and role model for young people in an environment full of opportunities. With access to modern sports facilities, a music studio, and fantastic outdoor environments, you will become a key figure in a creative team shaping the future of youth activities.

Your responsibilities

We are currently looking for a youth leader for a 6-month fixed-term position, with a possibility of extension. You will help create an active and meaningful leisure time for children and young people. It is a varied and stimulating job where you will plan, implement, evaluate, and document activities and projects. This is a role that requires both creativity and drive, but above all, a genuine interest in the well-being and future outlook of young people. At the youth center, we have resources to work with our youth in music production and digital tools. We also have good access to our own sports venues such as artificial turf fields, ice halls, outdoor pools, outdoor gyms, padel courts, jogging tracks, and fantastic outdoor environments in both summer and winter.

Here we want to offer a varied range of activities, and we therefore strengthen our team with your knowledge of outdoor life, club activities, sports, and health. In your role, you collaborate with other important actors such as schools and clubs to spark interest and create opportunities for meaningful leisure time for the young residents of the district. The role also involves driving the work with our existing School-IF.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained youth leader or have other relevant post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with children and young people and a pedagogical approach that allows you to meet young people based on their different conditions and needs. You communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can provide extracts from the criminal record and suspicion register.

We would appreciate it if you had experience or knowledge of club activities and outdoor life. You have a genuine interest in creating activities that promote community, movement, participation, and personal development.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You build trusting relationships with children, young people, guardians, and partners, and have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and other actors. You are receptive, respectful, and actively contribute to a business where diversity, inclusion, and the equal value of all permeate the work.

We offer

The Skultuna District Administration is a unique workplace with a broad range of activities. Here we work closely together, and every employee is an important cog in the whole. We develop all activities together through initiative and the courage to test new ideas. Our overarching focus is preventive work and ensuring that all people feel hopeful about the future. We hope you want to contribute to this work.
