Do you want to work on a mission that makes a real difference – where you contribute to giving more people the opportunity to approach work and self-sufficiency?

About the assignment

In preparation for the launch of a new ESF project, Progresso, we are looking for a project manager.

In the Progresso project, the Falun Borlänge region collaborates with the municipalities of Falun, Säter, Gagnef, Ludvika, Leksand, and Rättvik, as well as Fornby Folk High School (Region Dalarna) and the County Administrative Board. The project focuses on supporting individuals who are far from the labor market and who are not reached by the Swedish Public Employment Service's efforts, most of whom receive social assistance.

Highlights of the job:

  • A meaningful assignment with a clear connection to individuals' opportunities to enter the labor market
  • A central role in a collaborative project between several municipalities and organizations
  • A varied position where you combine structure, coordination, and development

Your responsibilities

As a project manager, you, together with the responsible manager within the VIA administration, are responsible for driving and developing an ESF project focused on people who are far from the labor market.

The project will work individually with a focus on three main areas: activity requirements for persons with social assistance, language support/development, and long-term effect follow-up.

In the role, you work both strategically and operationally. You coordinate actors, create structure in the work, and ensure that the project is implemented according to set goals. Your tasks include among other things:

  • collaborating with municipal operations, labor market units, and external actors
  • driving the work forward within the project's different goal areas
  • developing administrative routines and ensuring structure in implementation
  • following up on participants and compiling materials
  • responsible for reporting to the ESF Council and other relevant actors
  • contributing to the follow-up and evaluation of the project's results

The work requires that you can switch between the big picture and details – and thrive in a role where you hold processes together while simultaneously driving the work forward.

The VIA administration is a flexible organization, which means that you may also contribute to other parts of ongoing projects as needed.

This could, for example, mean that you:

  • support working methodically based on evidence-based approaches, such as Supported Employment
  • contribute an intersectional perspective and work for inclusion, participation, and equal treatment
  • participate in follow-up and evaluation in close collaboration with the responsible manager

Project period: 1 September 2026 – 30 June 2029

Your profile

Requirements

  • Experience of administrative work, preferably in a project context
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Upper secondary education or equivalent experience

Merits

  • Experience of EU-funded projects
  • Experience of labor market measures or similar operations
  • Experience from municipal operations
  • Experience from collaborative projects
  • Education or experience of methods such as Supported Employment

You are a person who drives the work forward and thrives in a role where you are given responsibility. At the same time, you are structured and meticulous – with the ability to create order and clarity in a project with many parts.

You have good communication skills and find it easy to collaborate with others, which is crucial in a role where collaboration is central. You are analytical, can see the big picture, and translate goals into practice.

Through your way of working, you contribute to an environment where there is security in the structures, development in the work, and pride in the mission we carry out together.

We place great importance on your personal profile in this recruitment process.
