At the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Läkemedelsverket), we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of humans and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future.

Are you looking for a challenging role within knowledge management and pharmaceuticals? At the Unit for Knowledge Support and Medicines Use, we offer a varied role as an investigator with significant autonomy, where you will interact with multiple operations and work proactively.

Our Operations

The Unit for Knowledge Support and Medicines Use is part of the Operations Area for Use, which is responsible, among other things, for producing independent pharmaceutical information and conducting safety monitoring and follow-up with the user in focus.

The unit produces knowledge support (treatment recommendations and the Swedish Pharmaceutical Formulary/Läkemedelsboken) for the Swedish healthcare sector to ensure safe and rational medicine use. In our work, we collaborate with internal and external experts, as well as with many other units within the Swedish Medical Products Agency. The unit has about twenty employees with a wide range of competencies and experience.

We conduct both ongoing work and projects and investigations, some of which are government assignments. To carry out our mission, we work, among other things, to:

  • identify knowledge gaps and needs for pharmaceutical information
  • develop independent treatment recommendations, publish and disseminate them
  • ensure that the Swedish Pharmaceutical Formulary is updated based on the target group's needs
  • serve as a resource for the Swedish Medical Products Agency regarding scientific information retrieval and literature supply.

Your Responsibilities

Your work as an investigator will primarily revolve around developing and participating in the management of independent pharmaceutical information such as the Swedish Pharmaceutical Formulary and treatment recommendations. Here, you are expected to lead, execute, coordinate, and support projects and investigations at both the agency-wide level and within the unit.

You will also collaborate with other authorities and actors in the field. The work involves critically evaluating pharmaceutical and medical information about medicines and medicine use, as well as compiling and disseminating information adapted to the target group and channel. Based on knowledge and environmental monitoring, you are also expected to formulate and propose new measures and activities.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who

  • has completed a pharmaceutical, medical, or other relevant academic education
  • has a few years of experience working in the field of medicine use and/or knowledge management
  • has broad knowledge about medicine use
  • has documented experience leading projects, groups, or assignments
  • is accustomed to giving oral presentations, writing reports, and has the ability to - in collaboration with others - formulate text in a balanced and fair manner
  • expresses yourself well orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

The following are meritorious

  • research experience and experience in evidence assessment
  • leading/driving government assignments

Your Personal Qualities

You are both meticulous and pedagogical, with the ability to independently and proactively drive your tasks and lead groups towards a common goal. You also have a talent for good communication. Since the position involves many internal and external contacts, it is important that you enjoy working in a group and are good at building good relationships. You take initiative and have a high ability to execute and drive activities to completion. By being responsive, open, and unpretentious, you contribute to a trusting and productive work climate.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
