Ängskolan, with approx. 1000 students, is a municipal F-9 school in central Sundbyberg, close to nature and with good transport links. Our goal is a safe and healthy school with a friendly and supportive climate, where students, staff, and parents thrive and share a common responsibility for creating good conditions for all learning. Together with our professional staff, you are offered an stimulating position where we jointly work towards a more proactive and interactive school, valuing collegial learning. Together, we shape a safe and joyful school day with the students' best interests in focus. We align the school's expectations of students and parents with the expectations of parents and students towards the school. For our targeted work in promoting equal rights and opportunities, as well as preventing and combating harassment, we have a safety team including social pedagogue and counselors. The school has two rooms for Wood and Metalwork and two rooms for Textile Crafts.
As a teacher in Wood and Metalwork, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subject according to the curriculum, in collaboration with other colleagues within the craft subjects and other colleagues at the school. Good collaboration skills and a focus on equity in teaching are important qualities.
Your duties also include responsibility for documentation, assessment, and grading of students' learning, as well as follow-up and analysis of results with the aim of improving students' goal achievement. Collaboration is important here between the craft subjects and with the other craft teachers. The position includes mentorship together with a colleague.
With your solution-oriented approach, you have a positive attitude and see it as your responsibility to create good and sustainable relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You have good knowledge of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and know that adapting teaching and the learning environment for NPF is beneficial for all students. You find strengths and build on what is successful in each student. With an inclusive approach and the ability to see students' different needs and individual prerequisites, the possibilities are maximized for everyone to feel joy in work and to succeed in school.
As the class leader and a good role model, you are flexible, like structure, are full of ideas, and see every interaction with students as an opportunity. You have good collaboration skills, are initiative-taking, and have a holistic view of each student.
We are looking for you who have teacher certification and eligibility to teach students in grades 3-9. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the relevant grades. You are accustomed to using digital tools such as Google Drive and Google Classroom.
