Olovslundskolan is located in western Jakobsberg. The school has approximately 620 students from preschool class up to grade 6, and we also have an adapted comprehensive school with students in grades 1–6. We are now looking for a student assistant for the comprehensive school for the autumn term.

Job Description

As a student assistant, you work closely with students and teachers. A large part of the job involves building relationships with students and creating structures and routines for them based on their needs and interests. Together with teachers, you plan and carry out the students' school day, and you participate in teacher-led lessons. You are present with the students in all activities, such as breaks and after-school care, and you participate in pedagogical meals. Most importantly, your ability to create secure relationships with students and their guardians is crucial for working with the students. You challenge students in their learning and use your own creativity and pedagogical knowledge to create the best conditions for each individual to achieve curriculum goals.

The work as a student assistant includes:

• Being a close support during lessons, transitions, and breaks
• Collaborating well with teachers and student health services to adapt teaching
• Helping the student(s) understand instructions and tasks
• Being a support in social situations

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Have experience in pedagogical work
• Collaborate well with others. Relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. Listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively
• Be socially active in professional contexts. Be communicative and able to build and maintain secure relationships
• Have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives or situations
• Communicate clearly. Ensure that messages are received and that expectations are clear for all relevant parties
