About the job

Hourly position as a mother tongue teacher and study counselor for students in compulsory school (grades F-9). The languages in demand are English, Armenian, Meänkieli, Finnish, Romani, and Thai.

Who are you

You have a Swedish teaching degree or a foreign teaching degree that can be verified and validated by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitet och högskolerådet), or you have started a Swedish teacher education program. Other pedagogical education is also seen as an asset. Experience working in preschool and/or teaching in compulsory school, upper secondary school, and adult education is considered meritorious. It is positive that you master multiple languages as our children and students come from all over the world.

Your Swedish and your mother tongue must be good enough for you to express yourself orally and in writing at an academic level.

You must have good computer skills. The job requires good teamwork skills, flexibility, and a high degree of responsibility.

A driver's license and access to a car are required as you will work in all of the municipality's preschools, compulsory schools, and also the upper secondary school (applies to study counseling).

Personal suitability will be taken into account.

Hourly position with a start date as agreed.

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 32,000 and 37,000 SEK, depending on experience, education, and competence.

Extract from the Police Register

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the police record when working in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS (Act of Support and Service for Persons with Functional Impairments), work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for care or rehabilitation), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
