Description

At Lillebyskolan, we are now looking for an engaged and certified teacher for grade 5. This is a temporary position for the upcoming school year, ending on 2026-12-20.

Lillebyskolan is a preschool class to grade 6 school located in Torslanda, situated in a quiet residential area with nature as your nearest neighbor. The schoolyard is large, featuring climbing trees, playgrounds, football fields, and other environments for students to enjoy. At our school, we work to ensure that students feel safe and included. Developing teaching and operations is at the core of our school, and our student health team works proactively to promote health and well-being.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include teaching and mentorship duties in grade 5, with joint responsibility for the students' schooling alongside the work team. The role involves being a class mentor for a grade 5 class, as well as planning, teaching, and assessing students' acquired knowledge in two grade 5 classes. Professional responsibility for classroom leadership is particularly important, as are methods for all students' knowledge development and goal achievement.

If you are a recent graduate, you will be offered an introduction program for new teachers through Gothenburg's Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy. This introduction provides you with a network of other new teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with qualifications to teach mathematics, Swedish, and Natural Sciences. Additional subject qualifications are considered an advantage.

We are looking for you who are an engaged educator who sees the strengths and opportunities in all children and is clear in your leadership. You operate from the principle of equal value for all and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role.

Furthermore, you are team-oriented and interested in creating good relationships and understanding for others. You take responsibility for your own and shared tasks, focusing on the best interests of the students and the operation. Finally, you are pedagogical and have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different prerequisites.

Interviews will be held in week 32.
