About the workplace
Angeredsgymnasiet is a upper secondary school offering national and introductory programs, as well as a National School for students with physical disabilities. Here, joy and enthusiasm are as natural as knowledge and development. We are convinced that students who thrive and feel the joy of learning also achieve better results in their studies.
Job Description
We are currently looking for a part-time Spanish teacher.
You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to teachers. You will communicate the goals of the teaching and clarify your assessment for the student. You will assess the student's achievement of goals and assign grades according to the curriculum.
In your role as a mentor, you support students by understanding their needs, following their studies, and contributing to the goal of them obtaining a high school diploma. As a mentor, you build a relationship with the student and maintain contact with guardians.
In collaboration with the school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating good conditions for students to thrive, develop, and reach their goals. In collegial forums, you have the opportunity to share and further develop your subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with a teaching license in Spanish at the upper secondary level. Previous experience as a teacher is an advantage.
You have strong digital competence and integrate digital tools naturally into both planning and teaching. You use the computer as a natural support in both pedagogical work and administration.
You show genuine commitment to the situation of young people, have a good ability to notice different needs, and adapt your working methods based on the target group. You are open to developing and trying new teaching methods.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability, such as creativity, good teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt when conditions change and find solutions in everyday life.
Other Information
For your interview, you need to bring a passport, national ID, and potentially proof of residence permit if you have citizenship outside the EU/EEA. This is so that we, as employers, can verify your identity and ensure you have the right to work in Sweden.
In reference to the laws regulating background checks, anyone offered this position must present an extract from the criminal record register before an employment contract can be drawn up.
For positions requiring specific education, those who proceed in the recruitment process will be asked to submit documentation proving their education, e.g., license or degree certificate. You can also attach them directly to your application.
