Ljungenskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) that also includes Vellinge Municipality's adapted primary school, or as we often call it, "Superskolan". Naturally, we also have an after-school center. The school is located in the scenic area of Ljunghusen and has good bus connections from Malmö.

Ljungenskolan is a school for all students, including those with intellectual disabilities as well as those with special gifts. We have 600 students and 100 staff members. Together, we are fantastic!

Responsibilities

We are looking for a teaching assistant for the adapted primary school. All students enrolled in the adapted primary school (AGR) have an intellectual disability and sometimes also physical disabilities or various syndromes. The work as a teaching assistant in AGR involves helping students in all daily situations such as toilet visits, meal times, changing clothes, but also being able to handle mood swings, act during epileptic seizures, comfort, distract, etc. We expect a low-affective approach, engagement, and a willingness to understand the student's situation. The work is demanding but also very rewarding.

You must be calm and confident in yourself and have a low-affective approach. A few years of life experience is meritorious, as well as knowledge/experience of PECS (TAKK) and similar work.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience working with challenging students, Studio 3, PECS, etc.

Given the composition of the work group, we prefer male applicants, among other things, because the students also need support in the changing room during sports.
