You now have the opportunity to apply for the position of Special Needs Teacher at Rönnenskolan!
We are looking for a Special Needs Teacher for Rönneskolan who wants to help develop the school into "The Best School for Every Student" for our pupils. The role of Special Needs Teacher at Rönneskolan involves both teaching students and conducting pedagogical assessments. The primary responsibilities include planning and implementing instruction for students in need of special support, and working with other staff to conduct assessments and develop action plans when necessary. The role also involves, to some extent, assessing the need for special support, drawing up action programs, and following up on the support provided.
As a Special Needs Teacher, you work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially. You actively influence and stimulate students to develop as much as possible to reach their goals. You will become part of our student health team, which currently consists of a special educator, school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, study and career counselor, student coordinator, and school leadership. The Special Needs Teacher supports the management in working with children and students in need of special support and participates in operational and method development.
Qualifications
It is a requirement that you are a certified primary/lower secondary school teacher with a Special Needs Teacher degree, or alternatively, that you are currently studying to become a Special Needs Teacher. A Special Needs Teacher degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development is advantageous. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in schools with a high proportion of non-native Swedish speakers and have Swedish as a second language in your education.
You are engaged and professional in your role and contribute to development within the organization at various levels based on your profession. You enjoy working in teams, are comfortable meeting with people, but can also work independently. Furthermore, you have insight and knowledge regarding school development and the school's governing documents, and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in teaching as a Special Needs Teacher and are familiar with and knowledgeable about working with relevant digital tools.
We are looking for you who are driven by the desire to help develop the school's operations so that we can achieve the best possible development and learning for every student. You are both brave and receptive, while having a good ability to work in teams with different professional competencies. You demonstrate high professionalism in your role and have very good communication skills.
