WORK TASKS

Hörby School of the Arts is looking for a new colleague. Here, you will be part of a work team together with competent cultural educators within theater, visual arts, film, dance, and music. As a team, we work for a school of the arts for all children and young people in Hörby, which means we work extensively with open activities in various forms. We often work in cross-artistic projects, so you need to be open to collaborations between different subjects.

The work includes individual instruction in brass instruments but also in ensembles. This means that you prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate the teaching in a professional manner based on evidence-based knowledge and current research. Ensemble and orchestra leadership together with other colleagues are part of the work tasks. Among other things, you will lead and create suitable arrangements for a beginner orchestra where all instrument groups are welcome.

The work also involves collaboration with primary schools. In the Cultural Guarantee, a focus is planned to highlight wind instruments in primary schools. Therefore, it is a great advantage if you are used to working in classes/larger groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained brass teacher with a university education or education that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people within the school of the arts. It is also meritorious if you have knowledge of chord instruments. If you also have competence in rhythmics, piano, or skills in adjacent cultural areas, there is an opportunity for a larger position.

You need to be confident in teaching both younger children and more advanced students.

You need to have a driver's license as some teaching is located at rural schools.

As a person, you should be creative and driven. You need to be able to take responsibility and be communicative, as well as able to collaborate with many actors.
