Job Description

We are looking for a certified comprehensive school teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 3–6 in Wood and Metal Craft (Trä- och metallslöjd).

You will be part of the working group for grades 4–6, and mentorship duties are included in the position. At Monbijou School, we work in grade-based teams where comprehensive school teachers, leisure center teachers, the school library, and the student health team collaborate to support every student's learning and safety. In this role, you will create and develop an stimulating pedagogical practice and, together with your colleagues, drive the pedagogical work forward. We offer close leadership from the principal, collegial collaboration within teams, clear structures for meetings, planning, and development work, as well as active support from the student health team in daily operations. Here, we have a culture of keeping the student's learning and safety in focus through responsibility, participation, collaboration, and flexibility in daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with qualifications to teach Wood and Metal Craft in grades 3–6. Experience as a teacher, good experience in language- and knowledge-developing teaching, cross-curricular working methods, and familiarity with digital working methods are meritorious for this assignment. It is also important that you are interested in developing teaching through collegial learning at the school. Our common focus at the school is to increase students' reading skills and strengthen values-based work with a focus on gender equality and good relationships between students.

You can organize your work, are secure and solution-focused, and contribute to creating a good work climate together with your colleagues. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's steering documents and know how to apply them effectively in daily work. Your teaching is modern and creative, developing your work based on evidence-based research, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. At our school, it is important that you are skilled at building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Monbijou School is a two-parallel F–6 school with 360 motivated and curious students. Most students are enrolled in our leisure center, which is organized by grade for grades F–3 and by stage for grades 4–6. Monbijou School is the big little school in the heart of Malmö.
