We are looking for a qualified Swedish teacher to join us in August 2026. IES Helsingborg opened in 2017 and offers exceptional bilingual education to approximately 450 students in grades 4–9, as well as meaningful career opportunities for around 65 employees.

Job Description

This is a full-time position starting in August 2026 (vacation coverage). A probationary period applies for the first 6 months. Responsibilities include:

• Teaching Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language (SvA).
• Create a stimulating classroom environment for effective teaching and learning.
• Maintain the school's positive ethos and core values, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Report to parents regarding students' development, progress, and performance.
• Mentoring students is included in this role.

Who are you?

• You hold a Swedish teaching license in Swedish.
• You have experience teaching this subject.
• You have good proficiency in English.
• You have a passion for teaching and motivating students to achieve their goals.
• You have the ability to create an inclusive learning environment for students.
• You are enthusiastic, engaged, and a team player.
• You have knowledge of and share the values and ethos of International English School (IES).
