Job Responsibilities

In the role of a special educator within the central child and student health services, you work on behalf of the head of child and student health and represent the special educational perspective. You are an important part of the municipality-wide work to promote health, learning, and development. The assignment involves strengthening special educational competence and broadening the learning environments of the operations. You work both strategically and close to the operations to contribute to the development of the municipality's consolidated student health work.

In this assignment, you contribute competence development within the field of special educational research, collaborate with the operations, and offer high-quality support in matters concerning special pedagogy. You educate, supervise, and support staff in their work to remove barriers to learning and actively contribute to promoting all children's and students' access to an equal and accessible education.

Your assignment also includes close and tight cooperation with the municipality's special educators and special teachers, as well as coordinating special educational network meetings. The work also involves designing, evaluating, and revising routines and work processes, as well as preparing cases for municipality-wide decisions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in the special educational field and a teacher's degree. You have a salutogenic approach and a deep understanding of the factors that affect students' development and learning, and how barriers to learning can be removed. You are practically and pedagogically skilled, as well as flexible and creative in finding solutions. You have good didactic ability, are trust-building, and have the ability to build trusting relationships that promote development.

You are well-versed in current regulatory documents, the school's mission, and the field of special educational research. You have clear communicative skills and experience working in a consultative and advisory capacity, as well as experience in lecturing, supervising, and educating. It is an advantage if you have experience in cross-administrative development work.
