Do you want to help educate our young people? For the autumn of 2026, we are looking for a mathematics teacher who, together with us, wants to strengthen and develop mathematics education. The position is between 40–60% but can possibly be combined with another subject.

Hörby Yrkesgymnasium is a high school specializing in vocational programs, targeting those who wish to educate themselves within the construction and transport industries or within vehicle technology. We are a family-oriented school where we want to work closely with the student.

Your role:

• Responsible for mathematics teaching on vocational programs and introductory programs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching.
• Handle administrative tasks and work in our digital systems.
• Collaborate with other colleagues to safeguard and create good conditions for student learning.
• The position may involve some mentoring duties.

Competence and experience

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher and qualified in mathematics. If you have previous experience working at a high school's vocational program, it is an advantage. You have an open and pleasant approach with good teamwork skills and prioritize building good relationships with your students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and work actively to ensure every student reaches as far as possible based on their prerequisites.

As someone working in the school, you need to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record) before employment becomes current. You can order this via polisen.se.

Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.
