About the role
As a Foster Care Consultant at Humana, you will become a central part of a team consisting of seven creative colleagues. We work closely together to enable safe and inclusive environments for our children. Our office is located in Västra Frölunda, and our coverage area covers large parts of Västra Götaland.
The role of Foster Care Consultant offers great flexibility with the possibility of remote work. We are looking for someone who is based in or around Gothenburg or Västra Götaland County, with the ability to attend meetings at our office.
In this role, you will work with recruiting, investigating, educating, and supervising foster homes. You act as a professional support in their important mission. We have close cooperation with our outpatient care unit and can offer combined interventions. The position may involve coordinating cases regarding both foster care placement and outpatient care.
Your main responsibilities:
- Recruit, investigate, and educate foster homes.
- Support and guide emergency and foster homes in their mission.
- Establish and maintain good customer contacts and ensure ongoing written documentation of supervision efforts.
- Coordinate cases with combined foster care placements and outpatient care interventions.
- Actively contribute to the development of our consultant-supported foster care through evidence-based methods.
- Be part of our team but also work independently and take responsibility for your own cases.
- Participate in on-call duty (evenings and weekends occur).

- Stress management: You are stress-resistant, organized, and enjoy keeping many processes going simultaneously, even during periods of high tempo.
Duration/Working hours: Permanent position, 100%, trust-based working hours. 6 months probationary period applies. Start date: according to agreement.

For this position, you must:
- be a trained social worker with at least three years of experience from work in municipal social services
- have a B driver's license and enjoy driving, as the position involves regular travel out to our foster homes.
It is also meritorious if you:
- have experience in investigating, educating, and supervising foster homes or have experience from a therapeutic position.
