Do you have a passion for working with children and young people and want to help develop their various skills? At BILDA, we constantly need to hire more qualified and unqualified substitutes. We are now looking for you who want to substitute in practical subjects such as PE, woodwork, textiles, and music.

You will work at various schools throughout the Greater Stockholm area. The duration of assignments varies from one to several days.

BILDA has collective agreements, offers an introductory training, and provides ongoing support and dialogue with an assigned contact person at BILDA.

As a substitute teacher in practical subjects, you are responsible for a whole or part of a class. Lesson plans are usually available, but in cases where planning is missing, it is important to be solution-oriented to quickly create the most content-rich lesson possible for the students.

To work as a substitute, you need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience within the school sector
  • Good command of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Experience leading/speaking in front of groups

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have relevant education and/or knowledge to teach languages
  • Have experience in pedagogical work

To fit into the role as a substitute, we also believe you have high social competence, are flexible, and accustomed to taking initiative. You should also thrive in an energetic environment and be engaged and responsible in your work. A central part of the substitute role is your strong interest in working with children and young people.
