You will have a central role in the school's student health work. We have a well-functioning Student Health Team (SHT) consisting of special needs teachers, special educators, counselors, psychologists, social pedagogues, principals, and assistant principals.

As a special needs teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language (SSL), you play a central role in supporting students' language, reading, and writing development. The focus is on removing obstacles to learning and creating conditions for all students to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

• Planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language (SSL), both individually and in groups.
• Identifying students' needs for special support within language, reading, and writing development.
• Being responsible for and conducting pedagogical assessments and analyses as a basis for interventions.
• Creating, following up, and evaluating action plans together with responsible teachers and the student health team.
• Close collaboration with the school's special needs teachers for grades F-3 and special educators to create a high-quality reading and writing plan and a consistent thread throughout the school.
• Conducting preliminary tests for referral regarding speech disorders.

We offer a solid base with opportunities for competence development and a wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK.

Are we looking for you?

You have very good special pedagogical competence and the ability to conduct and analyze screenings, create structure, and adapt working methods and teaching to promote students' development and goal achievement.

You have a license as a special needs teacher within reading and writing development, preferably with experience as a teacher in schools with SSL.

You communicate clearly and engagingly and mentor both students and colleagues in a professional manner. You have a secure, relational, and inclusive approach. You build trusting relationships and contribute to a calm and supportive learning environment, at both the individual, group, and organizational levels. Building good relationships with students and colleagues is seen as a natural part of your daily life.
