About the operations

Hagaskolan was established in 2019 and is a municipal primary school for students in grades F-9 with approximately 850 students and 100 employees. The school is located close to Vallentuna center with good communications and nature at your doorstep. Here you will find purpose-built facilities, outdoor classrooms, and a large, nice schoolyard that invites to both social and knowledge-based learning. Hagaskolan has been an accredited Erasmus+ school since spring 2022, which means we are putting extra effort into internationalization.

Topasen is our special teaching groups. With us, you will meet a tailored learning environment specialized in linguistic vulnerability, where we work purposefully with clarifying pedagogy to give every student the right prerequisites to succeed. The teaching is conducted in groups of approximately 8 students.

Job Responsibilities

You work as a teacher in the lower secondary school (grades 7-9) at Topasen and teach English, mathematics, Science (NO), and Technology. By making students active participants in the teaching, you awaken and nurture their interest and curiosity, making the teaching exciting and innovative. You base your teaching on a scientific foundation, use a formative working method, analyze teaching strategies, and develop and adapt the teaching based on student learning and towards increased goal fulfillment. In the meeting with students, you constantly develop yourself and your role as a teacher. In your classroom, all students have the opportunity to succeed and show their knowledge in many different ways. In addition to pedagogical work, you build relationships with your colleagues and contribute to the school's development. The assignment includes mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Licensed teacher with eligibility to teach English, mathematics, Science (NO), and Technology in grades 7-9.
  • Several years of experience teaching in grades 7–9.
  • Experience in planning, conducting, and following up on teaching based on current curricula and syllabi.
  • Documented experience in using digital learning platforms for planning, communication, and assessment.
  • Good ability to conduct formative assessment and provide feedback that supports student learning.
  • Good ability to work language-developing and cooperatively.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Swedish language.

Merits

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting August 10, 2026. Probationary period may apply. We use individual salary setting.
