Lärande Grundskola Vira is in a development phase where we are gradually building up operations towards a full-scale F-9 school. For the upcoming school year, we are looking for a Spanish teacher for grades 6–9, covering 20% of a full-time position.

As the school continues to develop and expand its lower secondary section, we see that the need for modern language instruction will grow in the coming school years, which may eventually lead to an expanded role.

At Lärande Grundskola, we work based on a pedagogical model called "The Learning Model." This model is built on team teaching, where teachers work together across subjects within a grade level to create coherence, context, and security for the students. Teaching is based on assignments built around LGR22 with clear elements of cooperative and value-creating learning. Through close collaboration among colleagues, we create an inspiring learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning are at the center.

Responsibilities

As a Spanish teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum and the school's goals. You work to create a safe, clear, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop as far as possible based on their individual prerequisites.

The position includes, among other things:

• Planning and conducting Spanish instruction for students in grades 6–9
• Working with extra adjustments and support measures based on students' needs
• Following up and documenting students' knowledge development
• Collaborating with colleagues, mentors, and student health services
• Contributing to the school's pedagogical development and joint quality work
• Building good relationships with students and guardians
• Using digital tools as support in teaching and student learning

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with certification and eligibility to teach Spanish in grades 6–9.

You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to create structure, motivation, and calm in the classroom. You work relationally and have clear leadership where students are met with high expectations, engagement, and respect.

We would like you to:

• Have experience teaching in lower secondary school
• Have good ability to lead and inspire groups of young people
• Be confident, clear, and solution-focused
• Work in a structured and quality-conscious manner
• Have good collaboration skills and be self-reliant in your teaching
• Understand the importance of extra adjustments and individualized teaching
• Have good communication skills and an easy ability to build trusting relationships

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other

The position is a fixed-term appointment at 20% with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.

The person offered the position must provide an extract from the police record in accordance with the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31–33 of the Education Act.
