As a Swedish and English teacher with us, you will work closely with your colleagues in a team where collaboration regarding both students' social development and academic progress is at the center. The team is led by one of the school's assistant principals.

The school is a municipal primary school located in Hornstull on western Södermalm. Approximately 860 students in grades F-9 have their workplace at the school. The staff at the entire unit consists of approximately 130 people. The school leadership consists of the principal, four assistant principals, and one administrative manager.

Organizationally, the school is divided into grade-based teams.

The school has a well-functioning student health service organized in a team consisting of two school nurses, a psychologist, a counselor, a study and career counselor, a special needs pedagogue, and four special needs teachers. The principal is responsible for student health, but one of the assistant principals has personnel responsibility and operational responsibility for student health.

The school has its own kitchen, and all employees are offered the opportunity to eat a pedagogical meal at the school restaurant at a low cost. Every morning, staff and students can eat breakfast at the school restaurant. Monthly, the teams organize staff activities where the whole school can meet in the afternoon/evening.

Your role

You teach at the school's lower secondary level (grades 7-9) and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians. The teaching takes place in Swedish in grades 7-9, strengthened Swedish in grade 8, and English in grade 7. You are a mentor in a grade 9 class together with a colleague. The position also includes lessons in MVP, for which competence development will be offered.

Your competence and experience

You are a certified teacher in Swedish and English for grades 7-9.

You have good competence in adapting your teaching to students in need of special support.

• At least 3 years of experience teaching in the later years of primary school.
