About Us

Närhälsan Guldvingen Health Centre is one of several health centres in the Region of Västra Götaland that have been entrusted with the additional assignment "Young People's Mental Health" (UPH) after it had been a project for several years. The assignment consists of offering early and short-term treatment interventions to children and young people aged 6–17 with mild to moderate mental ill health.

As a licensed health and social care counsellor at Närhälsan Guldvingen Young People's Mental Health, you will meet a broad spectrum of children and families with very varied issues. Our working group operates in a cross-professional manner, including psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors. We collaborate closely within a group with broad and high competence. You will work in a team with years of therapeutic experience and have the opportunity for a flexible working approach. You will have considerable influence over whether your work is conducted digitally or on-site at our clinic.

About the Job

Your main tasks involve assessing and treating children and young people with mental ill health. Common conditions among patients you meet as a counsellor include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD. You will have the opportunity to work with internet-based therapy, individual and group psychological treatment, as well as family therapy. You and your colleagues, together with the centre manager, are responsible for the health centre's development in a continuous improvement process.

About You

You are a licensed health and social care counsellor. We would prefer that you have completed the basic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training, Level 1. Previous experience from working in primary care or with children, young people, and families is advantageous. Experience from internet-based psychological treatment or group treatments is also advantageous.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development of operations. You organize and plan your work efficiently based on set goals and ensure quality assurance of the mental health work at the health centre. In your work, you meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, sensitive, and have a good approach to people. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work. You also share Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.
