Description
Starting in the autumn term of 2026, we have a need for a temporary position as a social pedagogue. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to work with us at Lindholmen Technical High School – and support tomorrow's technicians and fellow human beings!
Do you want to make a real difference and be a key player in young people's development? At Lindholmen Technical High School, we shape not only tomorrow's technicians – we nurture young adults with competence, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to collaborate in a changing world.
At Lindholmen Technical High School, approximately 1,100 students and a large number of dedicated employees meet in modern facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology. Here, we offer vocational programs, university-preparatory programs, and adult education with a technical focus.
Job Responsibilities
As a social pedagogue here, you will become a key person in the school's work to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students, regardless of program. You have a central collaborative role and work closely with student health services, school management, teachers, and other staff to maximize students' social and personal development and goal achievement.
You are an actively visible and present adult who works proactively and outreach-oriented in all areas of the school: in classrooms, workshops, corridors, and during breaks. By building strong, trusting relationships, you quickly pick up early signals and drive effective, preventive work.
The work involves, among other things:
- Providing individual and group support to students facing social and study-related challenges.
- Implementing targeted interventions and group activities based on identified needs within student groups.
- Initiating and leading activities that build bridges and strengthen the community between the school's different programs.
- Responsible for and coaching the school's student democratic organizations.
- Serving as a driving force and expert resource in the daily work on values and equal treatment.
- Actively and purposefully working to prevent and handle harassment, conflicts, and problematic absenteeism.
- Collaborating professionally with guardians and relevant external actors.
- Contributing strategically to the development of the school's learning environments through an inclusive and solution-focused approach.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education as a social pedagogue or education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have documented experience working with young people and young adults, preferably from a school environment. You need to have a good ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate with different professions. It is an advantage if you have experience working with young people from different backgrounds and with different prerequisites, including those with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses.
We see that you are courageous, flexible, and confident in your professional role. You have a pronounced solution focus, see opportunities rather than obstacles, and have a natural ability to quickly adapt your working methods to different programs and student groups.
You are a secure, responsible, and initiative-taking person who thrives in our dynamic, technical environment. You have a proven ability to work independently and take own initiatives within the scope of your assignment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Other Information
The position is a full-time holiday service and is a temporary position spanning the entire academic year 2026/2027.
We warmly welcome your application!
For your interview, you need to bring a passport/national ID and, if applicable, proof of residence permit if you hold citizenship outside the EU/EEA. This is so that, as an employer, we can verify your identity and ensure that you have the right to work in Sweden.
In reference to the laws regulating register checks, anyone offered this position must present an extract from the criminal record register before an employment contract can be drawn up.
For positions where education is required, you will be asked to submit documentation proving your education, e.g., license or degree certificate, if you proceed in the recruitment process. You can also attach them directly to your application.
