About the Organization
SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational change, shifting from LVM care (Care of Persons with Abusive Use of Alcohol or Drugs) to LVU care (Care of Young Persons under Special Provisions). The institution is now in an exciting phase of development. Currently, the institution consists of four units but will expand to include more over the coming year. We are focusing on staff density and will be increasing our workforce; therefore, we are currently looking for more staff to join our operations.
SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården is located just outside Falköping.
Job Description
Do you want to make a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then a position as a Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people towards new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that routines on the unit function as intended. You play a major role in the stability and security of our young people and form the foundation of daily life, such as school attendance, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work can be partly physically demanding as you need to participate in physical activities with the young people and respond to alarms. You contribute to maintaining order and security at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and contribute to providing our young people with the security they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule covering days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training course of 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and guided introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
You must also have:
- At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a community college or university college (KY/YH) or other equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
- Category B driver's license
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and involvement. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.
