About the Organization

SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational change, transitioning from LVM care (Care of Persons with Certain Addictions) to LVU care (Youth Welfare Act care), and is now in an exciting phase of development. Currently, the institution consists of four units but will expand to include more in the coming year. We are working on increasing staff density and will be expanding our workforce; therefore, we are currently looking for more staff for our operations.

Job Description

Do you want to be part of making a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the role of Treatment Assistant at SiS is for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people towards new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that routines on the unit function as they should. You play a major role in the stability and security of our young people and form the foundation of daily life, such as school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. The work can be partly physically demanding as you need to participate in physical activities with the young people and respond to alarms. You contribute to maintaining order and security at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and contribute to ensuring that our young people receive the security and safety they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

You must also have:

• At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
• Category B driver's license
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written

Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

*Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
