About the Job

We are now looking for a Senior Social Secretary for the Adult Unit, a role that is broad, challenging, and highly developmental for you if you thrive with responsibility, analysis, and collaboration.
Here, you will work close to the operations in a unit that is secure in its mission but never settles for standing still. We have good structure within our various areas, a trusting work climate, and clear support from the Unit Manager. The role is complex – but you will never stand alone.
Responsibilities
The Adult Unit consists of fourteen case officers/social secretaries who work with public authority functions and investigate needs for interventions within healthcare and social care, harmful substance use and addiction, the Social Services Act (LSS), social psychiatry, housing, domestic violence, and fee processing. There are many areas, different legislations, and varying case types – making the role both demanding and stimulating.
As the Senior Social Secretary, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work, as well as providing support and guidance, both individually and in groups. You serve as a close and accessible decision-support resource that contributes to quality, legal certainty, and professionalism in case processing. Together with the staff, you analyze and process cases to reach well-founded assessments and decisions, always with legal certainty in focus.
You ensure that case processing and documentation comply with current legislation and delegation orders, and you participate as support in difficult conversations and meetings when needed. A central part of the role is also methodological guidance and method development within the operational area, as well as introducing new employees to the operational work.
The role involves close collaboration with the Unit Manager, where you are an important part of the unit's quality and development work. You are responsible for implementing and following up on development work within the Adult Unit, in close collaboration with the Unit Manager. As the Senior Social Secretary, you may also represent the unit in various contexts, including in work committees, the Social Board, and in relevant legal processes and negotiations.
This is a role for you who doesn't need to know everything – but who is confident in some areas and curious to grow in others, with support from structure, colleagues, and management.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a Social Worker (Socionom) and have at least five years of experience in public authority functions within the adult area of municipal social services. Experience in leadership is meritorious.
Good knowledge of public authority functions and case processing within healthcare and social care, harmful substance use and addiction, LSS, social psychiatry, housing, domestic violence, and fee processing is of great importance. You do not need to be an expert in all areas, but have a stable foundation to build upon.
Competencies and Personal Attributes
You are clear in your communication and have the ability to prioritize and create structure – both in your own work and in supporting others. You can drive processes forward and have a coaching, trusting approach. We place great emphasis on teamwork and your ability to create and contribute to good relationships.
The work involves extensive communication and documentation, which requires that you can express yourself well orally and in writing, and have good skills in documenting and producing various types of materials. The role includes occasionally speaking in front of groups and conveying messages in a clear and confident manner.
You are confident in working digitally and adapt easily to new systems and tools used in the operations.
As a person, you are confident, stable, and stress-resistant. You have good empathy even in complex situations and can maintain calm, professionalism, and a holistic perspective when there is a lot to handle. We value a positive attitude and active employee participation.
Conditions
A driver's license for passenger cars is a requirement for the position.
The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.
