Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. You work in a team together with trained treatment pedagogues, an operational manager, and the night unit manager. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the young people living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help work towards a constantly better SiS.
We are now looking for new employees for the night shift, as we have had the opportunity to expand our staff group.
Our operations run 24/7 (around the clock, every day of the week). You working the night shift are responsible for the well-being and safety of the young people, with the main focus on promoting their sleep routines and being there for them when needed. For many, the night is the most difficult time of the day, and sleep problems are very common among our young people, making a secure adult who can offer support in the form of conversation or other means a very important piece of the puzzle.
The work can vary greatly in intensity, from very calm nights to nights that require a lot from you as a Treatment Assistant.
You always work awake nights with us on shifts scheduled approximately between 21:00–08:45, varying depending on weekdays or weekends. You work according to a rotating schedule in a team with several other treatment assistants and pedagogues.
This is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
The work may also include mentoring new employees and serving as an alarm leader during the night.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to create good relationships, while being clear that rules must be followed. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to cooperate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You must also have:
- A minimum 2-year post-secondary education from a community college or university college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
- Category B driver's license

Below are examples of merit requirements that can be used in recruitment (choose what fits your specific recruitment process):
- Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, youth psychiatry, etc.)
