In Tanum Municipality, the student health services collaborate at both local and central levels. Our shared mission and goal is to work together with children/students, educators, and guardians to create a good social, pedagogical, and physical learning environment based on the different needs and prerequisites of children/students to acquire and develop knowledge and values.

The Child and Student Health Service receives its assignments from the principal.

The Child and Student Health Service consists of several different professions: school counselors, school psychologists, school doctors, school nurses, social pedagogues, and youth guidance counselors.

Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you are part of the student health service and participate in the promoting and preventive work for students' development and goal achievement. You work consultatively with educators and other professions within the school and hold supportive conversations with students. The assignment includes collaborating on activities and interventions at the units with educators and other professions within the Child and Student Health Service, as well as participating in the Student Health Team (EHT).

As a school counselor, you always have the students' best interests in focus, against the background of the school's mission. Your work also includes conveying knowledge to guardians and to staff within the school. Your work will be carried out primarily within the primary school.

Qualifications

You enjoy collaborating with others but also have a good ability to work independently. You also have good verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for an educated social worker or social pedagogue. It is meritorious if you are a certified health and medical school counselor and if you have experience in student health work.

The position requires a B-driver's license as well as access to a private car.

You are part of an engaged professional team with six school counselors. The position is a temporary assignment of 100% until October 1, 2027, with start date by agreement.
