Job Description

We are looking for several support assistants for BMSS Kärravinkeln.

At our facility, young adults with physical multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and complex needs reside. There are five apartments in a single-story villa with a garden. What makes Kärravinkeln unique is our environment, designed to stimulate all senses and inspire activity and well-being. Here you will find a spa, sensory rooms, and environments that evoke nature.

At Kärravinkeln, we work with both development and support and care for the residents based on each individual's abilities and prerequisites. The residents at Kärravinkeln have a very high need for support and care. The work involves varied tasks. Duties include acting as pedagogical support in daily life, support during activities and personal care, as well as common household work such as laundry and cooking. The work also includes supporting activities such as bathing and walking.

All social documentation takes place in the documentation system Treserva. If you have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training in them. Residential care with special support offers support around the clock. We base our work on the tenants' needs and need to adapt working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled during daytime and evening times as well as weekends. We use Time Care Planning for business-adapted and influenceable schedules.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed education as a nursing assistant through the Care and Nursing Program or the Care and Nursing Program for adults.

Communication is an important part of the work, which means that you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent, you may be offered to take a language test via the test provider Educateit.

It is a requirement that you as an applicant have experience working with extensive care. Since the work is physically demanding, it is a prerequisite that you as an applicant are in good physical shape.

We consider it meritorious if you as an applicant have previous experience with PEG, TRACK, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

You take responsibility for your own and the group's tasks with the best interests of the business/residents in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are keen to finish what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly.

You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You proceed from the equal value of all people and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the resident/customer's needs as the starting point for your actions.

You work efficiently under stress, can balance different demands, and maintain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between matter and person and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.
