The work of the Social Services Administration covers authority functions and execution for target groups such as children and young people, persons with substance abuse issues, persons with mental health problems, persons in need of financial support, and support due to violence in close relationships. The administration is divided into the Adult Division, Youth Division, Support and Work Division, and Administration Division. We have a process-oriented approach where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements lead us forward.
The Youth Division includes five units consisting of two investigation units, family support, family law, and foster homes. The Children and Young People units currently consist of four investigation groups as well as a joint reception, method support, and senior social secretary. Our target group comprises children and young people aged 0-18 and their parents. On the unit, we actively work with working environment, well-being, participation for all, and competence development.
One of our 1st social secretaries is going on parental leave, which is why we are now looking for an interim 1st social secretary who wants to join our team.

Job Responsibilities
We work with qualified reception, investigation, and follow-up work according to current legislation. We have a comprehensive solution-focused approach where BBiC and Signs of Safety permeate our work based on the goal that all our children and families are treated with respect, are involved and have influence, and that their and the network's resources are utilized, always with the child's security, safety, and best interests as the starting point.
Your team meets children, young people, and families at the social office and in various environments where the children have their daily lives. In network meetings, they are seen together with the important people around the family, both privately and professionally. We have close collaboration with colleagues within the municipality and with collaboration partners in different areas of society, where you as a team leader are also driving.
As a 1st social secretary, you provide method supervision to your team individually and in groups, in accordance with Signs of Safety, BBiC, and current guidelines for case handling and documentation. You work to make employees involved, give relevant responsibility, and provide support for the employee's professional development. Together with other management, you have on-call availability after working hours as needed, according to a schedule made in dialogue with other management. You represent social services in the working committee as well as in the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal. You distribute and follow up on work in your team, among other things, through workload measurement and individual method supervision.
Within the unit, we have close, accessible, and supportive managers and collegial leadership. Managers, 1st social secretaries, and method support have close cooperation, and the leadership group within the Youth Division also has close cooperation based on both collaboration and development. As a 1st social secretary, you have external process supervision together with the leadership group. We actively work with competence development through the training program Yrkesresan via GR. Our method supporter and our 1st social secretaries together ensure our method development and environmental scanning. Within the division, we also have continuous internal training in Signs of Safety. As a new employee, you will receive secure care and introduction through the method supporter, 1st colleagues, and managers according to a well-developed introduction program, adapted to your needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Social work degree (Social worker)
- At least six years of experience working with children and young people, authority functions
- Category B driver's license
- Good ability to master the Swedish language well in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Has previous experience in leadership roles or other comparable assignments
- Has worked based on Signs of Safety's approach and method

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-10-01.
