The IT Department at Stockholm University consists of approximately 120 employees who have overall responsibility for Sweden's largest university IT environment. Responsibilities
In the role of Technical Specialist in Identity and Access Management, you will contribute to securing and developing the university's central identity infrastructure for both Windows and Linux environments. You will become an important part of a cohesive team of six technical specialists who together take responsibility for the university's Identity and Access Management systems, including Windows and Linux operations and application support.
Your daily work may include implementing, maintaining, and integrating identity and access solutions in a hybrid environment covering both Windows (Entra ID/AD) and Linux. You will work with centralized authentication and access control for Linux servers, for example through integration with existing and new on-premises and SaaS services via protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and SCIMv2. You ensure that Zero Trust principles are followed and implement and administer MFA based on federation, policy, and legal requirements in our hybrid environment.
Using tools such as PowerShell and Python, you automate recurring tasks, and you contribute to secure delivery by monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting identity and access-related events.
We work agilely and with product management in both the development and infrastructure teams, and you will become part of our continuous journey to refine and improve our working methods.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant academic degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
- Experience in operations and work with IT infrastructure in a large organization.
- In-depth knowledge of identity management and directory services (AD/Entra ID) as well as experience operating in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with Intune and good knowledge of RBAC and Group Policy security baselines.
- In-depth knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell and Python) for handling identity flows.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience with integration tools and protocols for Linux authentication in Windows environments (Kerberos or SAML/OIDC).
- Experience with identity and access management in container-based environments (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Experience with user lifecycle management (Identity Governance) and provisioning (SCIM).
Personal qualities:
As a person, you are a true team player who takes significant personal responsibility for your and the team's work. Given the nature of the role, it is important that you are security-conscious, responsible, and meticulous.
You will also have many contact surfaces, so it is important that you have good communication skills, both spoken and written, in both Swedish and English. You have good collaboration skills and are flexible. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal qualities.
About the Position
The position is permanent and full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
