Backend Developer at Memlist AB
Memlist AB develops a modern, web-based membership system that helps associations, organizations, and companies administer, interact with, and communicate with their members in an efficient way. Our platform is used for member management, payments, membership renewals, communication via email/SMS, and operational support for organizations with various needs.
We are now looking for an experienced backend developer who wants to contribute to the further development of Memlist's platform, integrations, and data-driven features.

About the Role
As a backend developer at Memlist, you will work with the development, further development, and maintenance of our backend services. You will work closely with other developers, product owners, and the business side to create stable, secure, and scalable solutions for our customers.
This role is a good fit for you if you thrive with business-critical systems, complex data modeling, and practical problem-solving in a product environment where code quality, security, and long-term maintenance are important.
Responsibilities
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- developing and maintaining backend features in Node.js with TypeScript
- working with databases, SQL queries, data models, and performance optimization
- developing integrations with external systems and services
- building robust APIs and internal services
- contributing to technical decisions, code reviews, and improving development processes
- ensuring solutions are reliable, testable, and scalable
- working with systems that handle sensitive information, personal data, and business-critical flows
- customer contact and support responsibility
Requirements
>To be considered for the role, you must have documented experience with:
- backend development with Node.js
- development in TypeScript
- SQL development with MariaDB
- SQL development with PostgreSQL
- development of production-ready systems
- working with relational databases, data modeling, and optimizing SQL queries
- fluency in Swedish for customer communication via phone, email, and chat
Preferred Qualifications
It is a plus if you also have experience with:
- REST APIs and API design
- database migrations and version control of database schemas
- testing backend code, such as unit and integration tests
- Docker or other container-based development environments
- CI/CD and automated deployment flows
- secure development, GDPR, and handling of personal data
- performance optimization in large databases
- integration development with payment services, accounting systems, or communication platforms
- working in SaaS or product companies
- Git, code reviews, and agile working methods
