About Djurgårdsskolan

Djurgårdsskolan is a grades F–9 school belonging to the southern school area. The school is located in the residential area of Djurgården in western Kristinehamn, just a couple of kilometers from the city center. The school is close to both the Björkvallen sports facility and the Kristinehamn Arena.

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching for grades 4–6 based on the current curriculum and course plans. In addition to teaching, the role includes mentorship responsibilities. As a mentor, you play a key role in creating and maintaining a holistic view of the student's development, both academically and socially. The mentorship duties include leading development conferences and, as needed, maintaining ongoing contact with guardians to support the student's learning and well-being.

Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is a central part of the assignment. You are part of a team where you, together with other educators, take responsibility for developing the operations so that every student is given the best possible conditions. You share experiences, competence, ideas, and joy in work. Pedagogical documentation is seen as a natural part of our systematic quality work.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a teacher education and teacher certification with eligibility for grades 4–6 and subject knowledge in Swedish and Social Studies (SO). We also welcome you who are in the final stages of your education.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience working with children in need of special support.
• Experience working with language and knowledge-developing approaches.
• Knowledge of digital learning platforms.
• Interest in IT.

As a teacher with us, you are secure and stable, and can handle challenges both inside and outside the classroom. We assume you have good pedagogical insight, understand how students absorb knowledge, and that you adapt your way of conveying messages. You inspire learning, create engagement and participation, and have good collaboration skills.

• Type of employment: Fixed-term employment (substitute).
• Duration: Permanent contract, start date 2026-08-12, end date 2027-06-07.
