We are looking for a certified Science teacher for grades 4–9, with a planned start in August 2026.

International English School (IES) in Karlstad opened in 2009 and currently has around 500 students in grades 4-9.

Your role with us

As a teacher, you play an important role in supporting student learning. In addition to planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching, you also serve as a mentor and help students with their personal and social development. You collaborate closely with parents, colleagues, and the student health team to give every student the best possible conditions to reach their goals.

We are looking for you who

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications in Science for grades 4-9.
• Are confident in your professional leadership and create a safe and stable environment both inside and outside the classroom.
• Value and deliver personal, clear, and balanced leadership with both control and student engagement in focus.
• Are an enthusiastic and engaged teacher with a strong desire to contribute to the success of both students and colleagues.
• Have experience working in schools, as well as adapting teaching and working together with student health services and special needs educators.
• Feel comfortable teaching and communicating in both Swedish and English.
