Description

We are looking for a special needs teacher who wants to be part of the school of the future. Here, you will contribute every day to all students' development towards educational goals and support colleagues or entire work teams. Here, we work primarily for others, but also for each other, and our common goal is to ensure the school functions as well as possible for all students.

Hultsbergsskolan is a school with approximately 650 students from preschool class to grade 9. At Hultsbergsskolan, we work from a grades F–9 perspective, which also includes adapted primary education. Accessible learning environments are at the focus of the school, where we create a school and teaching environment with the students at the center. We work to create the best possible conditions for learning based on a relational approach.

At our school, students and staff are divided into different work teams. Our lower secondary school (grades 7–9) is one of the smallest in Karlstad, which provides good conditions for all students to be noticed every day and experience a good study environment.

The school's vision is: "A school to look forward to." We want to build a trusting relationship with everyone. We see every meeting and dialogue as a prerequisite for active learning.

As a special needs teacher at Hultsbergsskolan, you have the student in focus and work closely with both school leadership and staff. You are part of the school's student health team, where collegial learning and collaboration between student health professions are in focus. You will have a central role and work for all students' right to an equitable education. You work to prevent and remove obstacles to learning, support students' knowledge development, and contribute to the school's development work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The assignment includes, in collaboration with the school's teachers and student health staff, responsibility for mapping, support, and documentation regarding students in need of adjustments and special support, both regarding knowledge, well-being, and school attendance. You are expected to have an active role in the school regarding student health work of a promoting and preventive nature, with a focus on accessible learning environments and a language- and knowledge-developing working method.

As a person, we see that you are self-reliant and take responsibility for driving your work forward in a structured manner. You work in a goal- and result-oriented manner and have a clear focus on students' development and goal achievement. You find it easy to build trusting collaborations with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
