Spångbergsgymnasiet in Filipstad has ten national programs as well as introductory programs. In total, approximately 300 students attend the school. Regardless of the program, we work together as a unit, sharing the same values.

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish as a Second Language. We are looking for you who are interested in educating and working with young people and who has the student's best interest at heart. Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish as a Second Language. Teaching will take place in several of our upper secondary programs, both study-preparatory and vocational programs as well as introductory programs.

You will be part of a work team and have close cooperation with other teachers. Your duties include planning and conducting teaching, assessing students' performance and development needs, as well as evaluating and grading students.

The position includes mentorship. Mentorship is a central part of the work at the school, where the responsibility for following up on students' study situations requires structure and initiative.

We are a small school where everyone helps out with what needs to be done. We offer an exciting and educational workplace where we place great emphasis on collaboration between staff.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher. You have a genuine and engaged interest in working with young people. You need to be aware of how different adaptations can look, and be flexible in trying out different pedagogical approaches at the individual and group level.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. It is important to us that you can plan and organize your work independently. You are creative and curious about new ideas and perspectives. We also value that you have a good ability to communicate and build trusting relationships, both with students and other adults.

Conditions

The position is a fixed-term employment for one academic year with the possibility of extension.
