Job Description

Nykköping Gymnasium is now looking for a teacher in mathematics and another subject, preferably physics. This is a full-time (100%) fixed-term position for the academic year 2026/2027 with good opportunities for extension afterwards. The position is located at Nyköping Gymnasium, where you will primarily teach students at the Gripen unit.

You will join a work team with fantastic colleagues who will welcome you, and together you will develop learning environments, attitudes, and teaching methods that enhance students' learning and social development. The role includes teaching and mentoring in collaboration with a colleague. We use digital tools in our pedagogical documentation. Our operations are characterized by a positive outlook and a strong belief in students' competencies.

As a teacher, you are responsible for the pedagogical work within the subjects you teach. The position requires clear classroom leadership with engagement and warmth that challenge and support students so they achieve good study results. You work based on the national curriculum and translate goals into meaningful learning for the students.

Qualifications

The position requires good knowledge of the subjects you teach and a teaching license. It is meritorious if you have experience in pedagogical work and have worked with upper secondary students previously.

You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate curriculum goals into your work. You are a present and action-researching educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you.
