Our Operations

The Gynecological Specialist Clinics consist of a family planning clinic, a pelvic floor clinic, a dysplasia unit, an endometriosis center, a clinic-based surgery unit, and an emergency clinic.

At the emergency clinic, we receive approximately 500 patients every month with acute gynecological and obstetric complaints, such as abdominal pain, bleeding, early pregnancy problems, and infections. In collaboration with the National Centre for Women's Peace (NCK), we also receive women who have been subjected to sexual violence. At the emergency clinic, you will work with nursing, assessment, prioritization, and treatment of the acutely ill patient.

We have seen an increased need to coordinate acute visits within women's health, and we have therefore initiated work on a joint emergency clinic for gynecological and obstetric patients.

At the abortion and contraception clinic, we work with receiving and providing counseling regarding unplanned pregnancies and guiding women who wish to undergo an abortion. We offer telephone counseling, contraception counseling, and perform certain abortions as day care.

The pelvic floor clinic receives patients with problems from the urinary tract, prolapse, or lingering complaints from childbirth, as well as vulvar complaints.

The dysplasia unit and the invitation office for cervical cancer screening work with both screening activities and treatment following cell changes.

Akademiska Sjukhuset and our endometriosis center provide National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for certain types of endometriosis. The assignment focuses on advanced surgery, which approximately 250 patients in Sweden need every year. We also receive referrals to the endometriosis center for assessment.

At the clinic-based surgery unit, we perform minor procedures under local anesthesia, such as heat treatments, insertion and removal of IUDs, and removal of polyps.

Your Role

We are now looking for midwives who want to work in our broad operations.

Here, you will meet patients with gynecological diseases or complaints at all ages and stages of life. The tasks involve receiving patients at the emergency clinic, making an initial assessment, and being part of the team around the acute patient, as well as some traditional clinic work such as telephone counseling, scheduling, sample collection, and information prior to surgery.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife.

We Offer

We offer you a permanent position at 100%. Rotation day/evening/weekend. Start date according to agreement. Probation period of up to 6 months may apply.
