We operate within Akademiska Sjukhuset, the Hospital in Enköping, Primary Care and Health, private health centers, eight municipalities, public dental care, private healthcare providers, and the university.
All care and support services must be provided with high hygienic standards to ensure patients and service users receive good and safe care. Within Uppsala County Council, our team currently consists of two infection control physicians, eight infection prevention and control nurses, and one administrator. Our task is to carry out infection prevention within all health care, social care, and regional dental care throughout Uppsala County. We are part of the Executive Office, Department of Health and Medical Care at Uppsala County Council, and our workplace is located at Hubben.
Infection prevention and control work is a long-term, preventive, and systematic hygiene effort aimed at preventing healthcare-associated infections. The work is independent, outward-facing, stimulating, and varied. Your function is advisory, which involves collaborating with all staff categories within healthcare and social care, managers at various levels, and Medical Responsible Nurses (MAS) in the county's municipalities.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with clinical experience. Merits include experience in teaching, experience in change and development work, pedagogical knowledge, leadership, and the ability to independently plan and execute projects. The role involves many contacts outside the workplace, which requires a talent for creating and maintaining good relationships. You should have good verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and be flexible. A driver's license is required. As we are a small work group, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and previous experience.
Full-time, permanent position, daytime hours. Interviews and appointments take place continuously during the application period, so please submit your application as soon as possible. A probationary period of up to 6 months may apply. Start date by agreement.
