We are Akademiska Sjukhuset – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a county hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer healthcare to two million people in Central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is hailed as a hero. Here, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, within a strong community of colleagues. We welcome your application!
We actively work on individual competence development and further improving the daily work environment, which involves a high pace that demands a lot, but we who work here know that the job gives so much back. Together, we create the workplace and the daily routine that both we ourselves and our patients want to be met with!
Within the Business Area for Imaging and Functional Medical Center (BFC), approximately 350 people work, and we perform around 200,000 examinations and treatments annually. Nearly 100,000 examinations are performed on an emergency basis, while the other half consists of scheduled examinations. Almost all imaging diagnostic methods, including MRI, CT (2 new photon-counting scanners), conventional X-ray, intervention, ultrasound, SPECT, and PET, are available within the business area. The operations are also located in Tierp and Östhammar, where we conduct conventional X-ray and CT in Tierp.
Our operations at the Central X-ray Department, which will be your new workplace, operate 24/7 with both emergency and scheduled examinations.
Do you enjoy challenges, varied tasks, and the opportunity to grow? You can find that with us, a specialist hospital and a workplace where we believe in your commitment to working in healthcare.
As an X-ray Nurse at the Central X-ray Department, you will perform emergency and scheduled radiological examinations using CT, fluoroscopy, and conventional X-ray. We also perform some examinations on the hospital's intensive care units with our mobile units throughout all hours of the day. For a couple of years, we have also had a CT scanner at the emergency department, which we staff for parts of the day and night.
We now need to replace staff in our daily operations who have moved to night shifts, and therefore we are looking for new, wonderful licensed X-ray Nurses to join our fine group at the Central X-ray Department.
We want to see that you are a confident person who can work in a varied environment and that you thrive in a high-paced setting. In your tasks and in daily contact with people, we place high demands on you being service-oriented, flexible, and having good collaboration skills.
We also want to see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
If you have previous experience working with emergency operations, we view this as meritorious, but we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We offer a 100% permanent position where start date and extent are agreed upon. Probationary employment may apply. The work involves shifts during the day, evening, and weekends. Start date as agreed.
We offer internal training and support our employees if they wish to deepen their knowledge in a specific area.
The hospital also offers free access to a hospital gym with a wide range of offerings, such as gym facilities, group training, personal health programs, dietary counseling, massage, and much more.
