The Swedish Armed Forces are in an expansion phase and on a significant growth journey. Here you get the opportunity to work in an engaged and cohesive team where you will help develop the air wing's future healthcare organization!
About the Unit
163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and soon also the Training Company, which together create the prerequisites for assigned units to focus on solving their main tasks. The battalion's role and tasks are developing rapidly to meet the new tasks and challenges that Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces face.
The Garrison Company is responsible for garrison coordination at Uppsala Garrison. The company hosts the garrison's expeditions and archives, sports service, dog service, operations service including training, case handlers with various areas of expertise, administrators, and caretakers.
The battalion, like the companies, consists of all parts of the military profession; officers, soldiers, and civilians. Together we develop the battalion to meet the tasks set before us.
F 16 is now looking for a specialist nurse with education and clinical experience in emergency and trauma care, who can participate in training for healthcare providers. You will work in a team with other specialist nurses, officers, and soldiers.
About the Position
Your main tasks as a fixed-term specialist nurse on the training for primary conscript healthcare providers include planning, implementation, and evaluation of the training. You are involved in the development of training materials and exercise planning. The training includes advanced emergency care, preventive medicine, CPR training, and first aid. Parts of the training take place under field conditions.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and conduct lectures, practical sessions, and applied exercises within healthcare training.
- Act as pedagogical support and ensure that students have the right knowledge in areas such as medical technology, airway management, resuscitation, basic hygiene routines, preventive medicine, emergency care, and medication administration via IV, IO, IM, and IN.
- Ensure that healthcare training follows current training plans and guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with specialist education in areas such as ICU, anesthesia, ambulance, or emergency medicine.
- At least 5 years of clinical professional experience, including at least two years of current work experience as a specialist nurse.
- Good experience expressing yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Driver's license, category B or higher.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for you who are passionate about pedagogy and have a genuine ability to make complex knowledge both understandable and inspiring. You are proactive and solution-oriented – a person who not only sees flaws and problems but also takes responsibility for creating structure and finding ways forward. Since the healthcare capability is in a development and building phase, you need to thrive in a changing environment where not all answers are available from the start. You have a structured working method, are confident in following given guidelines and orders, and contribute with your own judgment and good teamwork. You have a strong sense of team spirit and want to grow together with others.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
