We welcome your application!
About the job
You will primarily work at the department's outpatient unit with orthopedic investigations. As a veterinarian at UDS, you will also have the opportunity to supervise veterinary and veterinary nursing students. There are opportunities for collaboration with researchers in our orthopedic team as part of clinical research, as well as possibilities for specialized training in orthopedics.
If you are interested in working in other departments within UDS or the department, this can be discussed and made relevant.
All employees in the equine department work under roster agreements, which means that work can be scheduled at all times of the day according to the roster.
Here, you will contribute to positive development in a university environment rich in knowledge across many fields. You will work in a dynamic world with clinical challenges at the forefront of research.
Your background
You are a licensed veterinarian with the right to work in Sweden, and have a strong interest in and experience with equine orthopedics. You are accustomed to meeting animal owners in various situations. You have good communication and social skills, understand the importance of maintaining good customer relations, and treat animal owners in a professional manner. As a person, you are structured, can tolerate periods of high workload, and thrive in a dynamic environment where much is happening. You value good collaboration with colleagues, are a good team player, and actively contribute to good relationships within the entire faculty. You are interested in working in an environment where clinical practice meets teaching and research, as well as creating a good learning environment for students. At the same time, you can view the operations from a commercial perspective and are results-oriented. We will place great emphasis on your personal skills.
