Specialist in Clinical Physiology – Specialty Training in Nuclear Medicine with Focus on Cardiac Diagnostics
We are Akademiska sjukhuset – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a county hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer healthcare to two million people in Central Sweden. Here, something is always happening – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is hailed as a hero. Here, you will experience both tough trials and fantastic events, within a strong community of colleagues. We welcome your application!
Our Operations
Together, we create care of the highest quality at Akademiska sjukhuset, with the patient in focus. With great commitment, a continuous learning mindset, and close collaboration between clinical practice, research, and education, we are one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. Here, we provide everything from county-level healthcare to national highly specialized care.
The Section for Molecular Imaging, which includes nuclear medicine, is part of the Centre for Imaging and Functional Medicine, within the Department of Radiology. We offer one of Sweden's broadest ranges of molecular imaging and radionuclide therapy. We have 4 PET/CT systems, 1 PET/MR system, 3 dual-head gamma cameras, and 1 heart-dedicated gamma camera, as well as our own cyclotron for the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
The operations cover advanced diagnostics in oncology, neurology, infection/inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases. We also perform radionuclide therapy and actively participate in the development of future molecular imaging through clinical research, development of new radiopharmaceuticals, and close collaboration with Uppsala University.
Your Role
Are you a Specialist in Clinical Physiology wishing to further train in Nuclear Medicine? Do you want to work in an environment where advanced diagnostics, research, and innovation go hand in hand? Then this might be the position for you.

Akademiska sjukhuset is one of the few centers in Europe that offers clinical cardiac PET with 15O-water. As a specialty trainee, you will therefore have the opportunity to be trained in one of the most advanced cardiac examinations available internationally.
As a university hospital, we offer excellent opportunities to combine clinical work with research, teaching, and quality development. We conduct active research within molecular imaging and the development of new PET radiopharmaceuticals.
With us, you will find a workplace with a good working environment, dedicated colleagues, and great opportunities for professional development within one of medicine's fastest-growing fields.

We are looking for you who are a Specialist in Clinical Physiology and wish to complete specialty training in Nuclear Medicine.

You are responsible, structured, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams, have good collaboration skills, and want to contribute to the development of future nuclear medicine.
