The National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse problems. SiS LVM Home Östfora, located in Järlåsa northwest of Uppsala, admits men with alcohol, drug, or combined substance abuse, often in combination with mental health issues. We have specialized competence in medical nursing and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
As the Institution Responsible Nurse, you will serve as the leading nurse for the nursing staff working at the institution. Your task is to coordinate, lead, and support the development of the institution's healthcare work through delegation from the operations manager. A key part of the role involves collaborating with other professional groups within the institution. You hold overarching administrative responsibility for the institution's healthcare organization. The position requires a thorough knowledge of the regulations and laws governing healthcare to effectively drive quality assurance matters.
This role corresponds to the responsibilities of a Medically Responsible Nurse (MAS).
Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday.
In this role, you may also be called upon to act as a substitute for the institution's Quality Manager.
Qualifications
You must be a registered nurse, preferably with additional education in psychiatry and/or substance abuse care. Previous experience as a civil servant, leadership experience, and experience collaborating with other professional groups are advantageous. The work requires good teamwork skills, stress tolerance, and personal maturity. You need to be flexible and accustomed to working independently. Personal suitability will be heavily weighted during the selection process. A valid driver's license and access to a car are required.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
