Our Activity

Oncology Ward 101 B is an inpatient ward where we care for patients with various tumor diseases. Patients come to us when their investigation, treatment, or illness requires inpatient care – sometimes urgently, sometimes planned.

Lengths of stay vary from a few days to several weeks, offering a unique opportunity for continuity and deepened patient relationships. Many patients are recurring during their treatment period, which means that as a nurse, you get to know both the patients and their relatives in a way that is rarely possible in pure emergency care.

We work in close cooperation with other wards and clinics within the area of activity, and our workplace is characterized by development, learning, and strong teamwork.

Your Role

As a nurse at the oncology ward, you are a central part of the highly specialized care surrounding the patient. Together with a nursing assistant, you are responsible for a care team, which gives you the opportunity to fully focus on the nursing profession and its responsibilities.

This is a technology-intensive and medically advanced ward where you gradually build broad and deep competence. You work with, among other things:

• Central lines
• Cytostatic and antibody treatments
• Advanced pain and symptom relief
• Infection treatments
• Pain pumps and nutritional treatments

You work closely with doctors and other professions in the team surrounding the patient. Whether you are a newly graduated or an experienced nurse, we offer an environment where you continuously develop and grow in your professional role. On the ward, there is an education nurse who actively supports your competence development, as well as a discharge coordinator who coordinates the discharge process – giving you more time for patient-facing work and qualified nursing care.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in oncology or hematology is meritorious but not a requirement.

As a person, you are secure, flexible, and keep your calm even in complex situations. You have the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt your work, while working closely with your colleagues and contributing to a positive work climate. You have a holistic perspective, work long-term, and always put the patient first.
