Are you the one we are looking for?
Are you a structured and curious person who wants to contribute to the continued digitalization of healthcare? Then you could be the person we are looking for in the role of Object Specialist for the healthcare system COSMIC.
Our Operations
The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Unit consists of approximately 40 colleagues with high competence and great engagement. We work in bright, fresh premises on the Akademiska Sjukhuset campus in Uppsala. We currently have three employees who are retiring, and we are looking for their replacements. We are a secure and stable employer that values the societal benefit and sustainability of our work. We warmly welcome you to join us!
Your Role
As an Object Specialist, you work with maintaining and ensuring operational stability and functionality in Uppsala County's primary patient record system, COSMIC. You are offered a varied role where no two days are alike. You have significant responsibility and plan your daily work independently, while working closely with competent colleagues.
Your tasks include case management, troubleshooting, testing, and system configuration. You have an interest in understanding how systems work and how system functions can best be used to meet existing needs and requirements.
You have many contact points, both internally and externally, and will participate in development projects, reference groups, and networks. COSMIC is constantly undergoing functional changes, so it is important that you are flexible, adaptable to new ways of working, and a good ambassador for these changes to our users in the county and municipalities. Daytime support and on-call duties from home will be included in the position.
The three positions to be filled have different focus areas. Please specify in your application which position you are interested in.
1. Two Object Specialists with a focus on Healthcare Documentation
These positions involve working with parts of COSMIC that support healthcare documentation. You will work with, for example, record functionality, patient overview, analysis area, dictation functionality, and attention signals.
2. One Object Specialist with a focus on Patient Administration and Ordering/Results
This position involves working with parts of COSMIC that support patient administration. You will work with, for example, resource planning functionality, self-service terminals, invitations, and e-services. You will also work with functionalities related to sample-based orders and results, as well as radiology in COSMIC.
Your Qualifications
For all positions, we are looking for you who have education in the healthcare and social care sector. You also have experience from healthcare or from the COSMIC system, either as a user or system administrator. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is also a requirement for the position.
Your Competencies
As a person, you are self-reliant and take personal responsibility for your tasks while having good cooperation skills. In this role, you have many contact points and are comfortable communicating with both healthcare operations and suppliers. Furthermore, you are meticulous and accustomed to creating structure, planning, and prioritizing your work. You have logical thinking and a good ability to see the big picture and context. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
What We Offer
We offer permanent full-time employment. Start date: November–December 2026. We are flexible and are happy to discuss a time that suits you, provided you can be on-site before the new year. We apply flexible working methods, meaning you have the opportunity to work from home part of your working hours, and we also have a generous flextime agreement. Daytime support and on-call duties from home will be included in the position.

Uppsala County assigns all permanent staff for wartime duties based on the needs of the total defense. This entails no obligations for the individual employee in peacetime but is solely a planning measure.
Before making a hiring decision, checks of suspicion and criminal records will be conducted for all applicants who, in the sought position, may work within psychiatric care, habilitation, care for children and youth, or compulsory care for substance abusers, areas covered by discretionary record extracts.
